Founder: Ramon Oosterkamp

Ramon Oosterkamp is an executive leader with more than a decade of senior and ELT‑level experience in weather, climate risk, maritime and aviation regulation, and public safety. His career spans operational meteorology, national and international forecasting leadership, science communication, crisis management, weather innovation and international standards development.

He has served as:
  • General Manager Forecasting, MetService — Member of the ELT, leading national and international forecasting operations, leading internal and external crisis teams, transformation programmes, and safety‑critical services.
  • Operational Manager, Public & Severe Weather Services — overseeing 24/7 warning systems, innovation of forecasting practise and national hazard coordination.
  • Principal Delegate to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) — shaping global standards and representing New Zealand’s interests.
  • Vice‑Chair of the Worldwide Met‑Ocean Information and Warning Service Sub‑Committee (IMO/WMO) — strengthening maritime safety systems worldwide.

Ramon brings a rare combination of scientific expertise, strategic leadership, and operational discipline — enabling organisations to navigate uncertainty and risk with confidence.
